Summer Camp 2026 Inspires Young Minds Through Competition, Culture and Social Awareness

Jampuijala, Sepahijala, Tripura | 11 July 2026 : Summer Camp 2026 Inspires Young Minds Through Competition, Culture and Social Awareness SAL KWTAL CHARITABLE TRUST successfully organised Summer Camp 2026 at New Grace Hill High School, bringing together students, parents, teachers, and community leaders for a meaningful day of learning, creativity, cultural preservation, and social awareness. The camp was designed to provide children with opportunities to develop their talents, build confidence, and learn valuable life lessons beyond the classroom. The primary objective of the Summer Camp was to encourage children to develop a healthy competitive mindset while promoting holistic personality development. Through various educational and recreational activities, the programme aimed to inspire students to think creatively, communicate effectively, solve problems, and participate confidently in healthy competition. The enthusiastic participation of students and the overwhelming support from parents made the programme a grand success. Several competitions were organised throughout the day, including Drawing, Spelling, Quiz, Chess, and Storytelling competitions. Each competition was carefully planned to nurture different skills among the participants. The Drawing Competition encouraged creativity and imagination, while the Spelling Competition helped improve vocabulary and language proficiency. The Quiz Competition enhanced students' general knowledge and analytical thinking, whereas the Chess Competition developed strategic thinking, concentration, and patience. The Storytelling Competition provided a platform for children to improve their communication skills, confidence, and public speaking abilities. These competitions not only recognised individual talent but also motivated students to strive for excellence through healthy competition. A major attraction of Summer Camp 2026 was the Traditional Skills Workshop, where children were introduced to traditional rice cleaning, traditional weaving, and traditional crafting. These workshops were organised with the objective of preserving and promoting the rich cultural heritage of the Tiprasa community. Children actively participated in the demonstrations and learned about the traditional methods that have been practiced by their ancestors for generations. The organisers believe that introducing such traditional skills at an early age helps children understand their cultural identity and ensures that valuable indigenous knowledge is preserved and passed on to future generations. The workshop served as an important reminder that while embracing modern education and technology, it is equally essential to remain connected with one's roots, traditions, and cultural values. The programme was graced by Dr. Bijoy Debbarma, a renowned Eye Specialist, who attended the event as the Chief Guest. The programme was also attended by Mr. Sajal Debbarma, Chairman of SAL KWTAL CHARITABLE TRUST, and Mr. Aghur Debbarma, Chairman of New Grace Hill High School. Their presence inspired both students and parents and added significance to the occasion. During the prize distribution session and throughout the programme, all the speakers addressed students as well as their parents on one of the most pressing concerns facing today's society—drug addiction and excessive mobile phone addiction among children and youth. The speakers highlighted the harmful effects of substance abuse and uncontrolled screen time on physical health, mental well-being, academic performance, and family relationships. They encouraged parents to spend quality time with their children, monitor their activities, and guide them towards positive habits. Students were motivated to focus on education, sports, reading, creativity, and community service rather than becoming dependent on mobile devices or falling victim to drug abuse. The awareness session emphasised that building a healthy and responsible future generation requires the collective efforts of families, schools, and society. The event also created an atmosphere of friendship, teamwork, and community participation. Students from different backgrounds interacted with one another, learned new skills, and enjoyed the various activities throughout the day. Parents appreciated the initiative taken by SAL KWTAL CHARITABLE TRUST to organise a programme that combined education, culture, awareness, and entertainment under one platform. Following the successful completion of all competitions and workshops, a community lunch was arranged for all participants, parents, guests, volunteers, teachers, and organisers. The lunch provided an opportunity for everyone to interact, celebrate the achievements of the children, and strengthen the spirit of unity and togetherness. The programme concluded with the distribution of prizes and certificates to the winners and participants in recognition of their enthusiasm, dedication, and outstanding performances. The smiling faces of the children and the positive feedback received from parents reflected the overall success of the event. Summer Camp 2026 proved to be much more than a recreational programme. It became a platform where education, culture, social responsibility, and community values came together to inspire the younger generation. By encouraging healthy competition, preserving traditional knowledge, promoting awareness against drug and mobile phone addiction, and fostering community participation, the programme successfully achieved its objectives. SAL KWTAL CHARITABLE TRUST extends its heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Bijoy Debbarma for graciously attending as the Chief Guest, Mr. Aghur Debbarma and the management of New Grace Hill High School for providing the venue and their continuous support, all volunteers, judges, parents, and every participant whose cooperation made the programme a memorable success. The Trust remains committed to organising more educational, cultural, health, and community development programmes in the future with the vision of empowering children, preserving indigenous traditions, and building a stronger, healthier, and more responsible society.
